Hotel Artemis is set in 2028, and could be a John Wick sequel. I liked it lots. Spoiler warning: if you haven't seen the movie, I casually mention significant plot points you don't see in the trailers. You have been warned. Things I Liked: * Jodie Foster's old woman shuffle. * 3D printing a liver and a gun on the same machine. * The AR interfaces -- very believably presented -- right next to the old elevators and push-button tape deck. * Zachary Quinto's failson. * The world building of the black hotels with small chips in the wrist. Things I Didn't Like: * The orderly's "I'm a health care professional" sounded like a bit that didn't really work. * For a hospital that deals with patients who need a high degree of anonymity, there were surprisingly few ways to sneak people in and out of the suites. * The confrontation between failson and the Nurse, just before leaving the Hotel, felt a little contrived.
